The Australian trumpet player Govinda Abbott form the international Jazzduo Eye Kontakt. Govinda became acquainted with jazz studies at the Leipzig High School for Music and Theatre and has found his own style in recent years.

Eye Kontakt is a sophisticated and varied mix of jazz classics, latin-jazz and funk. A very special quality of the duo is their unmistakable discreet and relaxed sound, created by the variety of instruments – trumpet, flugelhorn, electric and acoustic guitar and the skillful use of different dampers.

Govinda also plays successfully at jazz festivals, city festivals and private concerts and have long been working as professional on stages in Germany and abroad – including with Nils Landgren, the German Philharmonic Big Band, Nina Hagen and many others. Govinda has been active member of the German music scene for years.
