EXPERIENCE

Nic has been performing and teaching Guitar and Bass in the local area for the last 18 years. He studied a bachelor of contemporary music at Southern Cross Uni that was completed in 2011. He has a great knowledge of Blues, Rock, and Funk styles of music. Nic’s live performance experience is extensive, touring the country with different bands over the years gives him great insight into the live music industry. He is currently performing with bands Pink Zinc, Marshal and the Fro, Dan Clark, Jock Barnes, and the Majestic Knights. Nic has also been hosting the Lennox Hotel jam night every week over the last 10 years.

EXPERIENCE

Carl Georg was born in Sydney, Australia and currently lives on Tweed Coast of NSW. His interest in drumming started around the age of 12 with early influences such as Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Derrick McKenzie of Jamiroquai and Danny Carey of Tool. He started taking drum lessons around the age of 14 and was involved in high school musicals, choirs and school bands. Later he went on to complete a Bachelor of Music majoring in drums. His musical horizons were broadened during his time at university and his interest in many other musical styles grew, such as Jazz, Latin, Blues, Funk, Rnb.

Carl started playing guitar in 1998 under the tutelage of Neil McCann. Although drums is his primary instrument Carl also has a passion for the guitar citing early influences as Tommy Emmanuel, Dimebag Darrell of Pantera and Adam Jones of Tool. His styles range from rock, heavy metal, funk, blues and RnB. Carl also studied guitar as an elective whilst completing his Bachelor of Music at Southern Cross University.

Carl has a passion for music and sharing it with others. He is a versatile player that can fit into any musical style or situation. He’s been privileged to play with some of Australia’s best artists in the Northern Rivers and Byron Bay regions. He’s performed at festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Mullumbimby Music Festival, Island Vibe Music Festival and his playing has featured on award-winning recordings.

EXPERIENCE

Jeremy has a wealth of experience as a working guitarist and as a music tutor. Proven track record with HSC successes, including number 1 student in NSW HSC in 2010 with 100% score.

Jeremy has studied classical and flamenco guitar and earn a B.mus degree at Southern Cross University. Subsequently, he was a tutor for 1st year guitarist for 4 years.

Currently playing with rock bands “PUSH”  and “HOT DOGS” all over Northern NSW, and teaches at N.R.C. in Lismore.

EXPERIENCE

Jessica Johnson is a young, enthusiastic, well-connected female tutor who will inspire your child to excel at their instrument, find their voice and most importantly love and enjoy music. Jessica has been a musician, songwriter and performer for over 10 years with earliest memories of writing songs and singing at age 8. In high school Jessica would mentor her peers in music being involved in soul band, musicals, choirs and co-ordinating her own concerts as young as 15.

Now at 22 she is a full-time artist with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music mid-way through her Masters of Education but has taken a gap year to record her second EP. From performing at festivals like Bluesfest Byron Bay and Nimbin Roots and renowned venues in Brisbane to creating her own events such as Bush Fire Fundraisers, Song Circle Series and local lineups in the Northern Rivers; Jessica contributes her time to creating opportunities for herself and the broader community in a hope to bring people together through music. As a tutor Jessica specialises in guitar, voice, piano, ukulele and songwriting/composition.

She has been teaching up to 50 students individually and in groups at Evans River Community School K-12 in these areas for over a year. Jessica also teaches the Evans Head community ukulele club with up to 15 adults fortnightly whilst managing her own flourishing music career.
